The search for the odorless toot begins here…
After happily ever after, Cinderella, also known as CinderToot, and the prince have two beautiful children, who each also share Ella’s gift for well, flatulence. On Ella’s birthday, the children search the kingdom for the perfect gift for their toot-filled mother: a tree whose fruit will make one’s farts odorless. But the journey is filled with danger, a newly-discovered family member, and of course, toots. The kids get lost searching but are rescued by a godparent (of course). Will the children find the fruit? Will Ella and the prince find their children? Find out in this fun sequel to the best-selling CinderToot: A Cinderella Tooting Tale.

The kids love the book.
CinderToot is a cute story based off of Cinderella, but, of course, very different :) Usually when we think of tooting, we think of embarrassment, but this cute book normalizes it in a way. I love that the kids have a great relationship with their mom and their dad.
There are a lot of books written by adults telling children what to do, what NOT to do, and how to live in an obvious, condescending way. This is NOT one of those books. It is more concerned with telling an engaging and fun story led by its young characters, and as such, is both more entertaining for kids AND more effectively shares life lessons. Making children laugh is a serious business, and farts are a reality and a funny one for children (as parents know). The author has elevated that to craft a book (and a series) that creates adventures based around the often underestimated power of scents, while weaving together familiar magical fairy tale elements. This combination works, it's fun, and there are details that kids will pick up on and enjoy with multiple readings.
Love the imagination in these stories! My son just saw that there is also a Santatoot book, so we are off to get that one next!
We have not read the first book in the sequel, but me and my daughters absolutely enjoyed reading this one. The funny narrative keeps the children engaged and laughing and although I'm not a big fan of farting stories, I did enjoy it too. Loved the illustrations as well. We'll definitely pick up the first book in the series.
